St. Brigid

Here is St. Brigid. Everybody in Junior and Senior infants worked together to make this picture of St. Brigid and her cloak.

The story of St. Brigid's cloak.
St. Brigid wanted to build a church. She didn’t have any land. She asked the chieftain for some land. He said “you can have as much land as your cloak can cover”. He was mean and he laughed. She put down her cloak. It grew bigger and bigger and bigger. She laughed. Now she could build a church.

Sponsored walk

On 19th November 2010, all pupils from Junior Infants to sixth class took part in a sponsored walk. We walked 3 miles approx. and lots of money was raised for our school. Pupils, staff and many parents became involved in the day and we had lots of fun! Thanks to all who contributed.

Games for a day!

On 22nd October 2010 our school took part in National Games Day. Each child brought in €2 to raise money for charity. We put a booklet together, which showed what we did on the day. We won €200 for our school as the best school in Co. Waterford! Ms. Duffy organised the day and helped us with all of our hard work! Here are some pictures of us on National Games Day:
